I wish to look into Purity assessment- analysis by compound Phenotyping.
My sample details are as below;
1. Sample name: Hyaluronic acid
2. Sample Classification: an anionic mucopolysaccharide.
3. Molecular weight: 3,140,000 Da
4. Solubility of sample: Clear to Hazy (water soluble)
5. State of the submitted sample: Both in powder and liquid form.
6. Molecular length:2.5–17.5 μm.
On approaching various GC-MS technical service centers, the operators raise concern on its non-volatile nature and also on its high molecular weight. However, i see literature specifying its use in HA though the protocol is not detailed. As its for product development, Pharmacopoiea mandates its testing in GC-MS, is it truly possible?
@sameer M. Yaseen, Do you have any recommendations on the protocol followed?
I think the LC-MS should be more appropriate
