I am analyzing a carbohydrate and I am trying to do the analysis under different temperatures, hoping to capture conformational isomerism. The sample is about 60 degree centigrade and the solvent is DMSO. I've learned that the NMR spectrometer I am using (Bruker, Avance II 400MHz) is not capable of heating samples. My question is, can I heat my sample to 60 degree centigrade and to do NMR analysis immediately? Is there any possibility that samples with high temperature harm the instrument or influence the magnetic field?
