Hi everyone,

For research on the adaptive immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection, I'm currently investigating what to use for an ELISA.

I am intending to coat the ELISA plate with antigen, after which the patients' sera will be added. I will use anti-human IgG Fc antibody (HRP) as secondary antibody.

I'm currently looking at which antigen to use to coat the plate. In our lab, we only have biotinylated antigens of the S protein available.

Does anyone have experience with using biotinylated antigens to coat an ELISA plate with? I am not sure whether the biotinylation would affect the binding of antibodies to the antigen. Otherwise, I will probably order other antigens for my experience.
