Can I tell my sensor is cyanide selective?

I have one anion sensor molecule which is not showing selectivity in DMSO- water solution, it is showing response towards cyanide along with fluoride and acetate. But it is showing selectivity towards cyanide only in DMF-water (8:2) solution medium. In DMF-water (1:1) gel medium for cyanide, 60 % gel breaking is occurring along with naked eye color change. Whereas for fluoride anion only slight color change is happening at the surface area of the gel where gel is intact.
