I am working on Solid Lipid Nanoparticles
I am doing MPhil research I am preparing a formulation
My topic is Preparation AND Evaluation of Indomethacin Loaded Solid Lipid Nanoparticles for delivery as topical gel .
I have prepared 5 blank trials of SLNs using different methods i need to know whether the particles have formed or not there is no latest equipment in my university please help me

You can make it very easy to detect your particles if your solution is clear or slightly cloudy. It means there are particles in it. To use your microscope, place the dispersion capillary and look through the microscope eyepiece, if the turbidity increases and you cannot see the particles, then you can assume the existence of nanoparticles. But this will not convince the reviewers, only this information is for you.
With a normal light microscope you can have an optical resolution of appr. 200-300 nm. For a smaller size you need a special microscope or optics.

An optical microscope can provide a size bigger than 300-400 nm as long as your nanoparticle preparation approach for imaging be true. I suggest the use of a DLS device for finding the hydrodynamic average size of nanoparticles or for accurate size determination apply the TEM or at least SEM.
