I will be tracking the bone velocity in vivo using Calcein injection in animals. I understand that the sections should be fixed in 70% ethanol before embedding them in PMMA to get the sections. However, for doing histomorphometric analysis, I require decalcified bone. Is it possible to reuse/undo the PMMA blocks, get the tissue back, decalcify and then use it for routine histology?
