I have a beam that is fixed from a side and free from another and I would like to measure the vibration on the free end of this beam. I am looking for a non contact method so my sensor will not interfer in the accuracy of results.
is there any arduino setup you would recommand? a simpler and cheaper subsidary setups are welcome to suggest!

Arduino based measurements are not suitable for accurate measurements, then you need to know frequency and amplitude. The sensors also have limitations also (in low amplitude and high freq vibration) .in very low amplitude (micrometer range) interferometers and high speed sensors can be used.
Abbas Majidi Bidgoli the amplitude will be in micrometer scale but I did bot yet estimate the frequency of vibration, yet I am expecting a frequency that vary for 0 to 5 Khz.
Mohammed Lamine Mekhalfia in this range of frequency traditional photodiods can be used, also arduino can respond to input signal. in such amplitudes you need to use an optical setup for converting vibration to changes which can be measured by sensors. actually this setup can magnify movements.
