Regarding the mass of amino acid, I am not sure about your question. However, to get the mass in the result, you need to be left out in a equation with a unit of weight such as milligram. In order to know the mass of your final product, you need to find the moles of your final product meaning how many molecules or peptides will you make. Once you figure out the number, you can get the mass or weight of your expected final product. Please explain more about your questions.

Here is an example that I need to figure out the mass of Serine

5 equivalent x Serine Molar mass (383.4 g/mole) x resin scale (0.1 mmol) x (0.001 mol/mmol) x (2.1ml)= 0.403 g which is exactly the mass on the calculation table that was already done for me from the Biotage Synthesizer.

I understood that there is a VL in my calculation that would not give unite of mass in the final product and that is why I am missing something.

6 equivalent x DIC Molar mass (126.20 g/mole) x resin scale (0.1 mmol) x (0.001 mol/mmol) = 0.07572 g DIC needed which is 93 microliter for density 0.815 g/mL
