Assuming you know torch type, process parameters and have the powder and substrates available for whoever performs the deposition I would say yes. If you need to perform parameters development and coating performance optimisation than no unfortunately, I would say you are more in the order of 5-10k USD.
Francesco Fanicchia Thank you for your thought. I have contacted some companies and get a quote for around 800 $, but some companies told me that Nichrome does not adhere with Alumina well, what do you think is a good high thermal conductivity ceramic that adheres well with Alumina ?
I want to fabricate a heater to be used in a jet impingement experiment, I need it to give a constant heat flux over the area of the jet knowing that the jet cause a bell shaped heat transfer curve, which causes in plane conduction, and violates the constant heat flux condition.
Eventually, we got a good thought and we are investigating it now.
The problem with the copper slabs is delamination at high temperature due to adhesion failure, we are investigating using Nichrome coating paste from Aremco.
