Can I gavage mice with FITC-dextran *and* collect intestine tissue for IHC?

Hi guys,

I will be dosing mice with FITC-dextran and collect their plasma to run an assay to measure intestinal permeability - however if possible, would also like to collect their intestines as well so I can fix them and perform IHC later.

Does anyone know if the FITC-dextran will affect the quality of the tissue for IHC purposes? If the FITC-dextran means IHC will be affected I will probably just go ahead with just the permeability assay.
