Can I find exact co-ordinate of object using Hyperbolic method? Similar to what GPS uses.

Trying to solve a hyperbolic equations for computing exact co-ordinates of the object.

Why not replacing the family of parallel planes in euclidean space which correspond to light waves from a distant object (a satelite) by the family of parallel horo-planes in hyperbolic space (= spheres touching the boundary at a fixed point in the Poincar'e disk)? It should work the same way, does it?
