I am looking for a protocol to stain mitochondria in FFPE fixed mouse brains (samples are already embedded). A collegue told me I could use Nonyl acridine orange; however, I can't find an appropriate protocol or publication describing the method with my kind of samples. Does someone have experience with this staining or can recommend me an alternative?
