Present-day religions are at the current endpoint of long historical processes and so far those historical processes have proved nothing except (i) that nothing about God has been proved, and (ii) that religion has been a constant source of discord.
@Dear Bello, The history of churches has a lot of stories to prove the existence of God. Especially in the Old Testament and Acts and gospels in the New Testament.
History, in the material sense, cannot prove the existence of God — because God is beyond physical perception, beyond space and time, and unknowable in His essence. As Bahá’u’lláh writes:
‘So perfect and comprehensive is His creation that no mind nor heart, however keen or pure, can ever grasp the nature of the most insignificant of His creatures; how, then, can anyone claim to have comprehended the nature of so exalted, so holy and indivisible an Essence?’ (Bahá’u’lláh, Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh, LXXIII)
However, Bahá’ís believe that history provides compelling indirect evidence for the existence of God through a principle called progressive revelation — the idea that God sends Manifestations (Divine Educators) throughout history to guide humanity. These Manifestations—such as Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb, and Bahá’u’lláh—have founded religions, uplifted morals, and transformed civilizations.
Bahá’u’lláh explains this principle:
‘The All-Knowing Physician hath His finger on the pulse of mankind. He perceiveth the disease, and prescribeth, in His unerring wisdom, the remedy. Every age hath its own problem, and every soul its particular aspiration. The remedy the world needeth in its present-day afflictions can never be the same as that which a subsequent age may require.’ (Bahá’u’lláh, Gleanings, CVI)
So while God Himself is beyond history, the footprints of His guidance can be seen in the lives and effects of His Manifestations. Their appearance is not random — it follows a pattern of progressive revelation that matches humanity’s spiritual evolution.
In Some Answered Questions, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá offers a philosophical proof of God's existence. He argues that every effect must have a cause, and the order and intelligence evident in nature point to a Creator:
‘It is clear and evident that things which are contingent require a cause, and that every new being is in need of a creator. Can anything come into existence without a creator? Can any phenomenon appear without a cause? … The regularity, the order, the perfection, the wisdom, and the arrangement of the creation of beings prove the existence of a mighty Organizer.’ (‘Abdu’l-Bahá, Some Answered Questions, Part One, Chapter 3)
Therefore, while history may not prove God like a science experiment might prove gravity, it does offer powerful cumulative evidence — through reason, the order of the universe, and the moral and civilizing influence of the Manifestations — that points to a transcendent Source behind the unfolding story of humanity.
Answer: Ab initio: God exist, cf. Imago Dei,- (God´s true image)Genesis 1:26 ! More so, biblically read and medidate more specifically on:"Only the fools say there is no God"-Cf. Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1.
More importantly cf. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologica
Five Ways to Prove the Existence of God in historical scenarios sequentially--- Aquinas -Summa Theologica, on existence of God (Prima Pars, Q. 2)
Though historically, arguments for God's existence have taken various forms, including philosophical, cosmological, and teleological arguments. Philosophical arguments often rely on logic and reason, while cosmological and teleological arguments appeal to observations of the universe and its apparent design… Above all God Almighty who made us in His own from creation naratives exist and real!
Remain faithful all the days of your life and live Godly, Shalom! Psalm73:28 !
