The viscosity of 60°C prepared with water and gelatin powder mixture(%10) (High Bloom) corresponds to approximately 10cps. That is, about 10 times the viscosity of the water. Is it possible to apply electrospining at this temperature value and viscosity?

1. You can doing electrospinning at 60 °C if have a provision in the instrument like cabin heater or heater at the syringe tip.
2. You need to understand that viscosity is one parameter that you can vary to get fine fibers. but the most important is the molecular weight of the polymer which plays a role of stretching during the spinning process. if MW is less we end up in electrospraying rather than electrospinning, even when the viscosity is high.

yes, you can. the gelatin solves in TFA/DCM(70:30) and you can doing electrospining easily. optimum condition voltage: 14 kv distance: 10cm
