I would like to check for CD133+/CD44+ population in colon cancer. I am planning to buy CD133-PE from miltenyi biotech and CD44-FITC from biogems. Kindly advice if I can go ahead with the purchase.
Yes they can be used in the same reaction mixture for flow. Just follow each manufacturer's instructions of how much antibody to use per volume/number of cells.
Immunoglobins are immunoglobins, regardless of the company that is selling them. That being said, different suppliers provide their antibodies diluted in different buffers with different preservatives (azide, thimerosal, etc.) so be aware of what is going into your experiment.
Yes. You can definitely go for this combination and there is no problem in using the same and even you can try different company labels in same tube in defined concentrations because the if fluorescence is there, it will be detected by FACS instead of the brand used.
You can use fluorescent antibodies from different companies without problems. Be careful with CD133 antibodies clones. For human cells clone AC133/1 recognizes stem cell antigen while other clones- do not (if this is what you are looking at). For mouse- majority CD133 antibodies clones recognizes both- terminally differentiated epithelial cells and stem cells.
