I would not risk an experiment (which is expensive) by re-using filter paper (which is cheap).
Thanks! My lab has been re-using filter paper for WB. Some bad habit pass from the previous grad students. Our advisor was flipped out when he found out.
We re-use filters for WB. After every run, we wash them in water and dry them. It works fine :)
Yes you can, try it once.
Due to the amount of western-blot we need to do in the future, our lab needs to find a substitution for western-blot filter paper to cut down the budget. Any good suggestions?

I got these smeared bands quite often lately. We typically run the gel at 140V with a 10-12% gel and do a wet transfer at 220 mA for 1.5 hr in cold room. We also noticed some dirty spots/dots (see...

Hi, I have lysate from human macrophages, and I wonder what will be the best way to check the NFKB activation in those cells. I was thinking p-p65 or p-ikkb./ Is that make sense?
