It will definitely have positive impact on controlling black money, minimizing the fake-currency problem and after all combating terrorism.  But, the outcome will be gradual, with tremendous positive impact in the long run. As admitted by all the experts, however, there can not be any radical change overnight. Because, we don't have any quick-fix formula or any panacea for an all-pervasive menace like corruption. The current efforts by the Government of India would be recorded in golden letters in the history of the world.

I am very glad that fine results in corruption fight were achieved. I think that corruption can not be stopped but minimised. The effectivity of corruption fight differs from country to country.

It is a good decision. However, it will not eradicate all the black money as black money has been stored in another forms also than the currencies There is also a parallel economy of black money in India.

Nearly 47  years ago same policy was applied in Pakistan, but nothing changed.

It is a good decision to ban the currency notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000. However, there are others forms of black money too i.e. confidential accounts in foreign banks, gold bought by black money, fake companies, companies with name of other persons etc. I think that a few percentage of black money is in form of currency notes.

It has observed that a number of companies turns to be wealthier and wealthier. Government should ask to show their balance sheet.

But when political leaders itself have turned the politics into business, all the things have turned to be business - whether it is education, medical system, or any other field.

This action shows the capacity of a government. But what can be done as government is run by talented politicians who know to win elections by money and start a business.

That is my view.

Demonetisation: 33 deaths since government scrapped Rs 500, Rs 1000 notes!

In the past week since the central government scrapped Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes in a bid to weed out black money, 33 deaths have been reported across the country that can be directly or indirectly linked to the sudden demonetisation move. While a few deaths have been out of shock, as alleged by the families of the deceased, some deaths are claimed to be owing to exhaustion after standing for long hours in serpentine queues. There have also been reports of suicide and even a murder over demonetisation in West Bengal...

...Chaotic scenes and long queues were seen outside banks and ATMs across the country as people rushed to withdraw or exchange notes to pay their every day bills...

...The deaths have grabbed the attention of Ópposition parties who are planning to launch a concerted attack on the Modi government on the first day of Parliament Winter Session. Banning currencies are indirect action, direct actions include the methods mentioned above by me in thread 1 of this question.

Ya it may resist the terror but it won't stop black money coz such people who wants to do wrong will do any how cause corrupted people know how to corrupt.

Of course corrupt practices and wrong dings (fake currencies, black money, terrorism etc.) may come back again as pointed out by Dhruvita Rathod Sir. But, the current development in India viz. demonetization will definitely have a positive impact on the economy by way of combating black money, fake currencies, terrorism etc. Moreover, it will check the fast growth in corruption/anti-national activities etc. because things will not be that easy in the future. Ultimately, the pace of such wrong doings will come down. Or in other words, there will be slow and gradual (but definitely positive) impact on the national economy and its stability in the days to come. No doubt.

Just forget about the immediate adverse effects, like, death of a few people, nuisance to the public for a few days etc. etc. (as pointed out by Ljubomir Jacić Sir, for instance) in view of the vast positive returns for the whole nation after a few weeks or months.

This is the only way before the Government; overnight nothing can be done by anybody. Only through a systematic and phased manner can any Government venture into controlling of black money / fake currencies  etc.

Surgical Strikes On Pak And Black Money Have Failed!

...So now, the government has moved goalposts again. Suddenly, this is not about terrorism or corruption or black money - this is about plastic. This is about digital payments, credit and debit card use, mobile wallets. All very good, but where is the infrastructure for this? Telecom connectivity is in shambles in our bigger cities. Credit and debit card readers find it difficult to connect to a payment gateway server in Delhi and Mumbai. Can you imagine the problem in smaller towns, let alone rural areas?...

Yes I believe The circulation of plastic money will certainly remove black money and also reduce funding to extremist. This will also help for a certain time period to get rid of duplicate currency

The better network of ATMs and enhanced availability of various technology-based banking services etc. are all important and India is lagging behind also. But, in the technology-front Indian banks are fast picking up. They will tide over such problems in due course. The Government cannot wait till adequate level of technology-based services are put in place for initiating the war against black money/fake currencies/terrorism etc. The Government will definitely have its positive impact in due course of time, as the economy gradually picks up momentum.

I too agree with the opinion of Dr. Manoj P K regarding the Government's move towards demonetization of currency in India and its definite long-term benefits to the economy, notwithstanding some temporary issues   

@Ljubomir Jacic: India is a developing country and people at lower and middle strata in India have a lot of problems in everyday life. Low income is the main reason, but corruptions in public sector - is experienced by large number of people (despite social acceptance of corruptions and corrupt people in the community). 

Banning of currency notes of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 will nor clear all the black money in India, as India has a parallel economy of black money.

However, people are pleased even after standing in ques, due to rare actions against black money and corruptions.

The political parties should start from themselves, as political leaders are among top beneficiaries of black money.

As suggested by Dr. Manoj P K there is the possibility of some positive impact in the long term; as the view points are very logical.   

Yes.  The demonitisation of 500and 1000 rupees notes will help to control the black money lit bit.  Black money is the form of gold, Swiss bank account and in  form of land.  It will help to stop the funding of Terrorist i.e. to control the terrorism in all direction especially from Pakistan.   But by this action, in India so many middle class people face the so many problems.

Property digitization can be a bigger step against corruption.

Demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupees opened a new gate of corruption as these people are investing their black money in Gold, Land, and House. Here, at Rajkot, India, we observed 20 % hike in lank and house cost and 50% rise in gold cost. Moreover, almost all private bankers are serving black money holders at the back door and they not supplying money to a common people.

Most probably. We hope this will happen. Of course, with a caveat that Govt. India, brings out a slew of measures that would contain the hoarding of the new currency by people through illegitimate transactions.
