I-35W Mississippi River bridge
The I-35W Mississippi River bridge (officially known as Bridge 9340) was an eight-lane, steel truss arch bridge that carried Interstate 35W across the Saint Anthony Falls of the Mississippi River in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
In 2007 the I-35W Mississippi River bridge in Minneapolis collapsed suddenly from slow cracking of a single undersized and over-stressed gusset plate.

The Dey Road Bridge is a historic truss bridge that spans the Tiffin River near the city of Defiance, Ohio, United States. Built in the 1900s, it has been designated a historic site.

Truss applications remain old with some of the old bridges. With the advent of Prestressed Concrete construction, it has become obsolete. Trusses today show up in front of buildings adding aesthetics to it. Trusses are still used for supporting roof of factories.
