I do not see that happening at least in my lifetime, purely because of economics and abundant availability of coal. I would however add that there might be a possibility where calcination units might be mixed with fly ash to facilitate clinkerisation and safe the post mixing process unit consumption by adding it right into the calciner.

Hi Petrou, I did not mean to say that renewables can't be used as substitute to conventional fuel but the costs are reliability are the main hurdles. Any ways does any body on the group knows a particular type of kiln where cement coal fly ash gets mixed in the calciner furnace.
