Yes, you can to applied CND or DRIS in grains. You need a representative database for contents of nutrients in grains

The diagnose leaves are the plant tissue taken for this sort of evaluation, however, other plant parts can be considered in this type of analysis, since they are representative for all samples. So, you have to achieve a huge database related to nutrient contents and grain yields, for each area in the field.
