Hej, I did SEM in AMOS and CMIN/DF is -465248062004,313.
Is this normal or does this indicate that I am doing something wrong?
Thanks a lot!
Ilia
This does not look like it makes sense. Neither the chi-square value (CMIN) nor the df should be negative for a proper structural equation or confirmatory factor model.
Thank you, Christian. I found out what is the problem.
Hi Ilia Gugenishvili
A negative chi-square would indicate a problem that would require investigation.
please take a look at this :
1) https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/when-amos-will-not-provide-fit-measures
and these two in Researchgate:
2) https://www.researchgate.net/post/Why_RMSEA_and_CMIN_DF_values_are_troubling_in_model-fit
3) https://www.researchgate.net/post/How_to_cure_poor_model_fit_indices_in_AMOS
Good luck
Thank you Samira. I fixed it. The data contained missing values and after I addressed that the chi-square became positive. Thanks for your help!
Great.
