Its a tricky question. But my best guess would be that they won't. Every tumor population needs its microenvironment it is adapted to. Nevertheless, this doesn't mean they can't adapt to new ones, since this is why you have metastasis on the first place.
Immune system is a big determinant to the success of tumor development in its non-native environment. This is why you would prefer immunodeficient mice in xenograft experiments. If you were to use an immunocompetent mice in xenograft experiments, the chances of that human tumor growing in the mouse would be very slim.
