I agree with Nikolay. So bioemulsifier can be immobillized. But according to my experience with treatment of oily wastewater I do not feel that an optimum method for treatment for oily wastewater would be to employ immobilized bioemulsifier. The main aktivity should be aimed to pokkutant destruction, not to it emulsification.

As Nikolay already mentioned above: YES. But you should keep in mind that you need to establish a solid chemical bound between the alginate polymer and the emulsifier molecule, in order to not get lost of it. For sure, you can produce alginate beads in the presence of your bioemulsifier but such emulsifier-enriched beads will loose them over time as such relatively small molecules will migrate out of them into the watewater stream. What is the opinion of professor Stefan Schmidt of your university?
