Can Bacto Peptone be replaced by Peptone?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to make Vibrio harveyi Agar. For that one of the reagents is Bacto Peptone and I have got Peptone. So, is Peptone replaceable for Bacto Peptone?

Yes, you can if the Peptone you have is for preparation of microbiological culture media. "Bacto" Peptone is just a commercial name for such Peptone (Bacto is the brand company commercialized by BD owning Difco).
