I'm working on an extended release formulation with enteric coat and a crospovidone as disintegrant, why we have the disintegrant and in what % they may use it?
Crospovidone is a superdisintegrant which has high hydration capacity and this is pH dependent.
It is used as disintegrant at 2-5% of tablet weight.

Adding a disintegrant , moreso a superdisintegrant to an extended release formulation is counter productive. Your extended release formulation is not expected to disintegrate except your formulation is designed such that the disintegrated primary particles have the ability to sustain drug release.
