Yeah, it can be used as a taste masking agent in tablet dosage forms but lately, there are some restrictions regarding of being toxic as a result of being primary metabolism in liver; therefore it's no longer being used and replaced by Sucralose as a sweetening agent or Saccharin Sodium with some questions regarding Saccharin. But in oral disintegrating tablets, its design mainly depends on bypassing the liver metabolisml therefore in this case Aspartame can be used with no restrictions.
