I working on developing a counter electrode of sensitized solar cell based on graphene. And I need to perform EIS of these electrodes. In the literature, the authors perform EIS of cells consist of two symmetric electrodes. So I would like to know if anyone can tell me the procedure of this test or there is a reference containing the details of this type of tests?
Kannan Karuppasamy, the graphene based material is already coated on FTO glass slide on an active area 1 sq cm. Can I sandwich two of these electrodes to perform the test? Is there is any experimental consideration can you advise me with it?

Bihag Anothumakkool, I would like to ask if the two symmetric electrodes are separated by large distance or just with the thermoplastic Sealant?
Distance between the two FTO electrode should be very small. My case I had used normal adhesive tape along the border. Better to have sealed cell using surlyn.

The spacer is usually kind of thermoplastic (ex. Surlyn 1702). And the thickness were 25-60um. And for EIS measurement two symmetric electrodes were sandwiched using a frame of thermoplastic, which was very similar with whole DSSC test.
Tsung Yeh Ho, thanks a lot. but, I used to use the parafilm as a spacer as some researcher do in their work. And I thinks it is perform well.

Can I ask how did you coat the graphene based material on FTO glass slide on an active area 1 sq cm. My material is graphene based as well, but it's a powder.

first,I disperse Graphene based powders in NMP with 10% PDVF as a binder. then I use drop casting method to coat FTO with this dispersion. the area is defined by adhesive tape.
