Political or social participation needs newly founded forms, as voting in political elections is not enough for maintaining democracy in a good shape and to have real, not formal democracy. Can anyone mention some newly founded forms of inclusion or involvement in present democratic societies?
I should think this is country-specific based on environmental issues of exclusion apparent. forms can include affirmative action generally used by many countries to quota system practiced in countries like Nigeria
You should take a look at Argentine´s performance regarding socail and political inclusion during the last ten years. There's plenty of literature but I'm not sure it is readily available in other languages but Spanish. If you need some names to consult let me know. Regards
Have you looked at deliberative or participatory democratic processes? An example would be citizen assemblies, which have been used by B.C. and Ontario in Canada to recommend changes to provincial electoral systems
