We have done such research but still it is not published.

We collected the ground water quality data using well water. And we collected the location data of each well.

MS Excel was used for data entering and location data of wells were included.

Then Excel file was converted into shape file using "Add X Y"

"Inverse Distance Weighting(IDW tool)" was used to interpolate the data and get the spatial distribution of water quality. This should be done for each parameter to take different layers for different water quality parameter. Likewise we can get the spatial distribution of pH, EC, etc.. as different layers.

To develop the overall quality map "Weighted overlay" method was used considering importance of each parameter.

Final map can be classified and zoning as we need.

Sometimes this method may be helpful for you. But it is depended on your base data.
