Can anyone send me a protocol. Do I need a phenol red free RPMI media?

I need to detect ROS in cultured cells like Jurkat, HL-60, with H2-DCFDA reagens by fluorescence microscope and don't have a protocol. Also, I saw on the internet that phenol red should be avoided. Is it in the case of H2-DCFDA or its derivatives? Can someone help me with more informations and send me a protocol?
