We need to culture mouse embryonic fibroblasts without FBS for several days (we want to deprive the cells of serum-derived lipoproteins). The MEFs don't necessarily need to proliferate during this period, but they should remain healthy and normal (or at least as "normal" as any cultured cell line can be).
Does anyone have any suggestions?

can leave out the serum and add more FGF2
