Actually I do not have too much knowledge about Au manufacturing process but it is said that during the polishing process, polishing paste sticks on Au particles and these particles are vacuumed in a chamber like thing. Since Au is a very valuable element we need to recover even these particles are so tiny.
My question is, how does Au separated from this paste? In my opinion it is supposed to be burnt at high temperatures and pressure must be well set to prevent expanding and sticking on walls again. I will appreciate you if you give me a detailed answer about the subject.

I think the best way to recover this gold from polishing waste - just drop it to big smelter/refining plant. The question is in amount of this product - firs you need to analyse to obtain certain information how much gold contains your product (could be some percents). After this experienced smelter can tell you the recovery level in his processing and calculate exact amount of gold 99.99% that you can get.
Recently we've done the same with carbon of very low quality (it was poor and slow sorption and no desorption at all). We've burnt it at Cu-Zn plant and got gold bars.
