I am looking to use poly A polymerase (NEB:M0276S) to add a poly A tail to RNA of plant viruses extracted from total RNA of plants. The purpose here is to perform 3' RACE downstream. Obviously, I would prefer shorter tails to longer ones to reduce complexity in future steps, so I was hoping somebody had experience in adding tails of shorter lengths by controlling ATP concentration and/or reaction time.
