For a project (done by second year BSc biology students) we're looking for information on the waste products generated by the production of yellow mealworms. Any information is more than welcome and very much appreciated.
In end of February 2016, me and my students rearing T. molitor in our laboratory. We used dry corn mixed rice bran as their food. We giving small slices of fresh carrot and lettuce (free from pesticides) once a week. Our goals is study technique rearing T. molitor as food for ornamental birds. They are a protein sources that easy rearing and can do in small scale (household). The waste product we used as fertilizers for our crops. It enhancing plant growth and save for environment.
