I used a range of Sigma antibodies, primary and secondary antibodies of this brand are satisfactory. Other brands are also available such as abcam. Good luck in choosing the right brand.
I recommend using a free antibody database available at labome.com. For NCAM (CD56) antibodies you can check the following link: https://www.labome.com/review/gene/human/CD56-antibody.html. In additon to Sigma ab , Santa Cruz Biotechnology has anti-NCAM sc-1507 ab for IHC on rat samples (ref: Cao et al., J Comp Neurol. 2008). Also, EMD Millipore offers anti-NCAM MAB5324 ab for IHC on rat samples (ref: Xu et al., J Neurochem. 2015) and AB5032 ab (ref: Wang et al., J Comp Neurol. 2009). I hope this suggestion is helpful.
Hi Kellie. If you are looking for reliable antibodies i can recommend you to use www.pAbmAbs.com. Here, scientists can share information about the antibodies they use in their research, so the antibodies are validated by other scientists. I also hope you will share your experience with antibodies. I am sure there are other scientists looking for suitable antibodies and here, your experience could help them save time an money. I hope this helps :)
