I am studying an antimicrobial which is thought to depolarize the cytoplasmic membrane of Gram-positive bacteria. I use the DiOC2(3) (30 uM) to perform the membrane depolarization assay and collect the fluorescence signals through red (FL2 channel) and green (FL1 channel).
