In the three thin sections images of the limestone (grain stone), the fossils marked with circular and square in red are multi-layered fossils that my sedimentologist colleague has identified as ostracods. Could these fossils really be ostracods? And if not, what taxon of fossil could they be?
Ostracods have a carapace similar to the shells of bivalves, but their outer layer is not multilayered. I suggest taking one sample and performing palaeontological picking in the lab to determine what these fragments belong to
Ostracod shells never show microstratifiction of growth; I think they are small lamellibranchs
