Is not possible load the TRMM data automatic, i.e. using FTP or other program, you have to choose by hand the files and download.

A very simple way is using the LDEO-Data library:

here the direct link to the TRMM Version.7

you can select a region, a period, ect.

Finally you can simply download data in many different formats.

If you go one folder up, you can see the rest of products as well.

You can also try here http://gdata1.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/daac-bin/G3/gui.cgi?instance_id=TRMM_3B42RT for the real-time product or here http://gdata1.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/daac-bin/G3/gui.cgi?instance_id=TRMM_3-Hourly for the research product. You can find both version 6 and 7. You can select your geographic area and download the data in HDF, NetCDF or ASCII formats.
