I'm trying to use the automatic PSFgen with VMD (via the software) and when I try to guess and split chains I get these errors: (for every pdb I try)
>Unable to open file ERROR> Unable to open file There may be something wrong with the input structure
Anyone knows what might be wrong?
Assuming the file path is correct, it might also be the file/security permissions for the Users folder. Tub_autopsf-temp.pdb is a file written out by VMD, so if it is unable to write to that folder then it should give you that error.
That means the file generated by PSFgen is not generated or the path to that file is wrong. I do not have that problem in linux+vmd1.9.2. Are sure you are clicking all the buttons in order?

Thanks. The Path for the output file that was auto generated by VMD was not correct.
It should have been C:/Users but it was generated as C:\Users , So that it could not write the temp files.
