I want to fill the void areas in a nano-porous thin film with polycarbonate by spin casting. Before actually starting the process I wanted to obtain the gyration or hydrodynamic radius of the polymer chain to see if the polycarbonate molecules would actually penetrate the pores. I was told that I could get such values by dynamic light diffraction. Could anyone give me some feedback on my reasoning? Am I right to look for the gyration or hydrodynamic radius before casting the solution? Is there any better suited parameter? Is the DLS test the best way to get these values?
