Can anyone suggest how to generate a time tree using MEGA6 without having any data for maximum and minimum divergent time data? What is the unit in a relative time tree (if there is any)? Can I somehow use the mutation rate to calculate the divergent time?

1) http://treebase.org for tree of interested species based on curated data;
2) My (million year) or Ky (thousand year) or something else, depending on the scope of measurement;
3) Mutation rate is a genomic trait, which could be linked to divergent time yet requiring generation time and divergent rate of interested genomic sequences. It looks like that simple-looking question can be very fundamental and complex.
