Amide oxidation to what? If you think to imides, yes it is possible but it needs catalysis/activation. Amide group is more subjected to hydrolysis to carboxylic acid or carboxylate groups. My Regards

Persulfate is a very powerful oxidizer and radical initiator: it can produce radicals under mild conditions and cause radical polymerization reactions.
H+ ions from the COOH groups of graphene oxide (GO) can activate the decomposition of persulfate:
S2O82- + H+ (GO) = SO4-. + OSO3H-
(SO4-. = R) reacts on the double bond of acrylamide to produce macroradicals.
