I have grown a new organic compound and taken FTIR, UV, Solubility, XRD full structure solving, Micro Raman and TG/DTA. But Reviewers expect more different characterizations. Kindly give your valuable suggestions. I have Powder XRD, Refractive index, Extinction cofficient, absorption coefficient, Etching studies and Reflectance that were not included.
More than the results of different characterizations one should focus on presenting a cohesive conclusion of the whole study, I guess. If it is a new compound and you have solve its structure (If you mean by single crystal diffraction), this data itself should be sufficient to get you a publication in a crystallography journal.
If the reviewers provided feedback as to what they felt was missing, then that is a good place to begin...

One of the Reviewer comment. Although the crystal that the authors have obtained is new, the paper lacks novelty with respect to spectroscopy. All I can find are some UV-VIS data, a micro Raman spectrum of inferior quality, and some IR numbers. There is not much of interest for the readers of Spectrochimica Acta, which is a journal dedicated to the forefront of spectroscopy. The authors should read the aims & scope before selecting the journal.
Ranjith - as the reviewer noted, you should not submit to Spectrochimica Acta without your paper having a strong link to spectroscopy, otherwise it will likely be rejected. Perhaps the "Journal of Crystal Growth" or the ACS journal "Crystal Growth & Design" would be a better fit? Or can you identify a more suitable journal based on potential application of your organic crystal?
