i am intended to find whether our antimicrobial peptides can bind to DNA, inhibit DNA synthesis and induce SOS DNA damage resonse.

Gel retardation experiment showed that at certain concentration, peptides bind to DNA. to determine whether our peptides induce DNA damage and elicits SOS response, we need to do study recA expression. for that we need Strain HI2682 Staphylococcus aureus 8325-4, which contains a recA::lacZ plasmid fusion. anyone who had experience with this experiment please help me with the following

1. is this HI2682 strain is commercially available? where can we order it? i couldnt able to find in ATCC or any organisation.

2. is this gene or plasmid is commercially available so that we can transfect the S.aureus with recA+ gene?

3. please suggest me some ideas for good results.

Thank you
