Hello, I am working with tobacco to determine the expression levels of several MeJa inducible promoters and I am having some trouble finding out how to produce a stock solution of MeJa that I can readily apply to tobacco. I am using the Sigma Aldrich MeJa that comes in 5mL at 95% concentration with a density of 1.03g/mL (roughly 4.36M if I did my math right). I am looking to dilute it down to a 0.1 uM - 1uM concentration but I am having trouble finding what to dilute MeJa in, and I would prefer to dilute it in something readily taken up by the leaves of the plants as that is where I will be measuring my expression levels. I was thinking autoclaved di water might work, but I am unsure about whether or not I would have stability issues with MeJa. I appreciate any help that can be offered.
