Can someone explain why the herraez equation doesn't mathematically work for the two faces, in the case of viscosity of binary mixtures have distribution with extrema.

Probably it's due to the reciprocal function of x1^(polynomial of x1), it's a logarithm function which it's must be positive.
When you fit in the wrong face the iteration don't converges.
