Dear Melanie, I do not want to preempt the chance that someone here on RG might just be working in your field. Still, you should meantime make a good start by yourself to find the researchers in your chosen field.
Use Google Chrome, go to Google Scholar, enter your search string: opinion leadership in intercultural communication
Look at the 'Co-authors clusters' shown.
This shows that the main authors working in the field are P. Auer and O.B. Ayoko [58 refs.]
Then see who is quoting them, and then find who THEY are quoting.
