Can anyone give me the details of how to make a STS marker for a gene?

I have to screen the presence of a resistant gene in landraces or germplasm but there is no STS or gene specific markers which I could use for screening work. A sequence of that gene is known. Can anyone give me the details of how to make a STS marker?
