Currently i'm doing research on thrombosis inhibition and already got the EC50 of my extract also EC50 of commercial drug. The extract is still crude, and the other hand the drug is single compound.
You have an extract, i.e. mixture of different methanol soluble compounds. You do not know exact molar mass of your compound to convert it to uM for comparing. If you ask, is my extract potent than ticagrelor, it is not, because your compounds conc. is much higher than the drug. You should separate your extract for individual compounds and see their own activity. Then you can compare their activity with exact conc. of your compound. I hope for your success. Good luck!
Indeed, we need this consideration for additional argument so that this extract need to be isolated or not. Because for previous research this extract is polar and rich of polyphenols (i.e tannin).
We think tannin separation is a great chalenging job.
