I want to extract the oil from pepper seeds through Soxhlet since I don't have Clevenger apparatus for hydrodistillation. But I'm confused onto how to obtain just the oil after the Soxhlet extraction because the oil will be with the solvent. What do I add (to increase polarity or whatnots), and what do I do after soxhlet extraction? What's the next step? Add dehydrating agent? Rotavap?
soxhlation for 48 to 72 hours ,but you alter the polarity ,after complete check what type of oil (fixed or volatile oil)

the easiest way is to use hexane as a solvent for extracting sochxlet oils.
